BACKGROUND

The need for government and the Nigerian society to constantly tap from the rich mix of high level manpower churned out by NIPSS informed the formation of Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI).

APPOINTMENT

SIRAJO UMAR YAURI APPOINTED AS EXECUTIVE SECRETARY AANI

Malam Sirajo Umar Yauri has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (AANI).

Malam Sirajo’s appointment was approved by AANI President Alhaji Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, OON, mni. He assumed office on the 1st November 2011.

The New Executive Secretary hails from Kebbi State and was born in Yauri on 1st September, 1963.

A renowned Broadcaster and Journalist, Malam Sirajo has about 25 years experience in Broadcast Journalism, Media Administration and Development Programmes.

He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and Several Post Graduate Diplomas from Usmanu Danfodiyo, Sokoto, from 1985 to 2003.

A former Staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, Malam Sirajo was the Director Administration and Secretary to the Board of Governors Kebbi Broadcasting Corporation. He was also the Community Awareness, Mobilization and Development Specialist with the European Union Desertification and Environmental Protection Programme in the former Sokoto State.
